Gene Stilp burns Trump flags in Snyder County - July 9, 2020
Middleburg, PA (July 9, 2020) -- Activist Gene Stilp burned two flags in front of the Snyder County Courthouse. The first was a combined Trump and Soviet Union flag and the second a combined Trump and Nazi flag.
Stilp said the Trump-Soviet flag represents Trump's subservient relationship with Russian president Vladimir Putin. Stilp said he combined Trump flag and the Nazi flag because "the horrible values expressed by Trump" resemble those of the Nazis.
About a dozen Trump supporters--many with Trump signs, hats, shirts or flags--watched the demonstration from the sidewalk. They occasionally taunted Stilp with insults, told him to leave the country, and one point they chanted "Trump, Trump, Trump."
